On March 28, more than 1,200 business leaders attended Sainte-Justine’s first-ever Grand Ball and its official after-party, L’Après for Juju. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of the event participants, partners, and organizing committees, over $2 million was raised for mother and child health.
The evening’s success was driven by Sainte-Justine’s incredible supporters, who rallied for the cause to show that together, we can bring ambitious and impactful initiatives to life. Laurent Ferreira, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank and Co-Chair of the Grow Beyond Campaign cabinet, presided over the evening’s festivities and spoke from the heart about the importance of philanthropy as a driver of health care innovation. He saw the event as a call to take concrete action to advance precision medicine in pediatric health care:
When businesses engage in philanthropy, they inspire, rally, and transform collective ambition into real action. Investing in CHU Sainte-Justine means guaranteeing that Quebec children have access to the best medical advances, made possible by expertise developed right here at home.
Delphine Brodeur, President and Chief Executive Officer of the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, emphasized the importance of engagement for building a stronger, more innovative, and more sustainable health care system—especially in uncertain times.

L’Après for Juju: spotlight on a new generation of philanthropists
Our growing Sainte-Justine community keeps expanding. To welcome a new generation of philanthropists and keep the festivities going, L’Après for Juju followed the banquet. Music and dancing took centre stage at this official after-party, and guests experienced first-hand the vibrant world of the children they came together to support. The engagement of this younger generation is a beacon of hope—it’s clear that the future of health care is in good hands.
