Close to 200 people gathered at the CHU Sainte-Justine on June 13, 2018 to take part in Leucan’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
The CHU Sainte-Justine and its Foundation were both proud and deeply moved to host the event in recognition of four decades of continuous assistance for research and exceptional work in providing expertise, a listening ear and support to children and families affected by cancer.
It was also an opportune moment to celebrate almost as many years of steadfast partnership between Sainte-Justine and Leucan. As a gesture of gratitude, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation paid moving tribute to the Leucan team by collecting personal accounts from people whose lives and careers have been greatly marked by the organization.
Hearing their stories in the video served to underscore just how much Leucan has helped to change the face of pediatric cancer, and indeed, the lasting effect the organization can have on a whole lifetime.
To Sainte-Justine’s current and former patients, families, volunteers, employees, nurses, doctors, researchers and donors, thank you for being with us and sharing such a successful, celebratory evening! Each in your own way, you help to foster this strong movement of generosity, solidarity and kindness.
