Sainte-Justine Youth Tree of Lights

From now until November 30, 2020, private school students from across Quebec will be bringing a touch of magic to the children of Sainte-Justine in a show of support for the patients, families and caregivers who will be spending the holidays at the hospital this year.

By raising funds online and sharing their messages of hope, private school students will help to light up the base of the Sainte-Justine Tree of Lights and kick off this major year-end campaign. The goal of this new youth initiative is to make the first 50,000 lights on the tree shine bright.

Participating students will reach out to people they know and ask them to “buy” lights for $5 apiece. The results of their efforts will be unveiled at a spectacular lighting-up ceremony on November 30.

They will be cheered on throughout the campaign by ambassadors and Sainte-Justine patients Mateo and Yannik, as well as spokespeople Catherine Brunet and Pascal Morrissette.

Are You Up for a Challenge?

Show your support for Sainte-Justine by donating… and dancing! In addition to raising funds, you are invited to take part in the YTOL Challenge and reach out virtually to the young patients of Sainte-Justine.

Go to the Foundation’s Instagram account and make a video of yourself doing the dance challenge posted by TV judge (Révolution) Lydia Bouchard. Then upload your video using the Reels function and the hashtag #youthtreeoflights. Don’t forget to add a few words from the heart for all those who will be spending the holidays at Sainte-Justine.

The best videos will be shown on patients’ TV screens in the hospital and circulated through our network of media partners.

So get ready for the province-wide wave of generosity that is about to unfurl, thanks to our youth – the foundation of our society and, this year, the spirit of the Sainte-Justine Tree of Lights.
