The CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation is looking for 50,000 front-line donors, not only to provide the vital support required by the teams who are currently investing a phenomenal amount of energy in response to the crisis while continuing to see to priority needs, but also to back essential research efforts.

 

As activities across the province are being put on hold, and individuals and leaders alike are intensifying their preventive efforts, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation would like to take a moment to appeal to Quebecers’ sense of compassion and generosity. “Today, more than ever, philanthropy and donors play a crucial role in society,” stressed President and CEO Maud Cohen.

 

Considering the current situation surrounding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and on the wise advice of the CHU Sainte-Justine experts and public health authorities, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation informs that it is postponing all of its spring events to a later date. The Foundation is taking all necessary preventive measures to limit the risk of spreading the virus. New dates will be communicated as soon as possible.

 

Today marks the last day of the 14th annual Mois des Câlins campaign at Sainte-Justine, an initiative that is made possible by its steadfast partners at Rythme, Jean Coutu and Clarins. The CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, the Douglas Mental Health University Institute Foundation, the Fondation les petits trésors and The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital) today announced a major donation of nearly $ 10 million from the Marcelle and Jean Coutu Foundation. This significant contribution will enable the partner institutions of the Transforming Autism Care Consortium(TACC) to establish Quebec 1,000 (Q1K): an innovative, multidisciplinary and collaborative initiative aimed at having an unprecedented impact on autism research.

 

CHU Sainte-Justine and its Marie-Enfant Rehabilitation Centre, the Montreal Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children – Canada come together to revolutionize patient management and care in Quebec thanks to a generous $10 million donation from the Mirella & Lino Saputo Foundation.
